Federal judge halts work on Trump's 'anti-weaponization fund'

Source: CNN

A federal judge in Virginia has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from moving ahead with plans to create a nearly $1.8 billion fund to compensate people who it says were wrongly targeted by the government in the past.

The brief order from US District Judge Leonie Brinkema says the administration cannot take any action “pursuant to the creation or operation of the Anti-Weaponization Fund, which includes the transferring of money to the Fund; the consideration of any claims submitted to the Fund; and the disbursing of any funds from the Fund.”

She set a hearing for June 12 to hear arguments over whether she should issue a more lasting pause on the government’s efforts to set up the fund, which is being challenged by a diverse coalition of people and entities who say they would be ineligible to receive money from it.

The ruling seems to be on the basis that some people might be unfairly excluded from this blatantly criminal operation.

The central point is that it cannot be possible for the President to sue himself, then failing with that lawsuit, ordering his employees to simply take billions of dollars from the Treasure and hand it to him.

WTF, people?

(And I am perfectly happy for the judge to take this path, as the easiest way to stop the program in its tracks without interference from the SCOTUS while public pressure grows. She is probably making a smart move here. But where the F is the media asking the basic questions about this blatantly corrupt operation?)

... virtually all M$M is now owned by billionaire Republican sympathizers, though some prefer the term, "NAZI" sympathizers. So they reduce the news to Pablum for public consumption, and spike true stories they don't like.
This is all part of a full-court press to institute Feudalism 2.0, with the odious billionaires at the top of food chain. You thought the fictional Sauron of Mordor was bad? These motherfuckers are worse, and they're REAL!
They can never be content to just wallow in their wealth; they have to steal tax dollars when they pay no taxes at all, along with picking your pocket for whatever you have, and making your lives as miserable as possible in the process, just because they can.
And they wonder why everyone hates their fucking guts. Go figure.

That trump, his family members and his businesses receive permanent protection from IRS investigations.

As part of the settlement agreement, the U.S. is "forever barred and precluded" from examining or prosecuting Trump, his sons and the Trump organization's current tax issues, according to a one-page document posted to the Justice Department's website on Tuesday.

Yeah, the slush fund is meant to reward the criminal supporters of trump. But the other half of that settlement is meant to reward the BIGGEST criminal!!

Any new Democratic POTUS can safely and completely ignore this "release."
