Stanley Woodward to run US DOJ's antitrust division, MLex reports

June 15 (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Justice's ​Associate Attorney General Stanley ‌Woodward has been put in charge of ​the department's ​antitrust division, regulatory news website ⁠MLex reported ​on Monday.

Omeed Assefi, the ​acting head of the antitrust division, is set ​to leave the ​department, an MLex reporter said ‌in ⁠a post on X.

U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche last ​week ​signed ⁠off on a memo allowing ​Woodward to exercise ​the ⁠authority of the assistant attorney general ⁠for ​the antitrust ​division, the report added.
