SEATTLE — Negotiators for the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), the union representing Boeing aerospace professionals, are scheduled to begin formal contract negotiations with the company on Tuesday, SPEEA said.

Talks will be held at locations in the Seattle area, with bargaining teams planning to meet regularly until Boeing presents contract offers to the union's two bargaining units, according to SPEEA.

The current contracts expire Oct. 6.

SPEEA is seeking separate collective bargaining agreements covering about 13,000 engineers and about 4,000 technical workers.
