April 7, 2013 (San Diego)—East County residents and Congressman Juan Vargas (D-51), whose district includes the border areas in East County, turned out yesterday in support of low wage workers staging a hunger strike at the Mission Valley Hilton. Vargas spoke with ECM on immigration reform and how it applies to this situation...

Congressman Vargas is planning to sponsor legislation for an emergency amnesty for all workers in the United States, he revealed....

ECM asked the Congressman about the status of migratory policy in Washington.

Vargas told ECM, “There is consensus among Democrats, as well as many Republicans. What is holding any advance is the Tea Party,” whose members strongly oppose amnesty for undocumented workers, he added...

Ok folks, I just love when I scoop every other media in town. This is big news. This kind of Amnesty will protect workers while we reach full immigration reform.

Why I scooped them, like Occupy... I staid, and waited and was damn patient.

Oh and I usually give the first four paragraphs, but all the background was needed. So I chose the relevant paragraphs from the big news.

This should be great... the rally was. And I got two stories in the paper too. So what if I am not getting paid for this. I am developing sources.

What this takes is pounding the pavement, and getting a sunborn.

The other story for the evening was a general poverty story. These workers have support from so many polis it is not even funny.
