Almost 900 people are RSVPed for a July 4th march on Washington, D.C. where protesters plan to carry loaded rifles. In D.C., openly carrying guns is against the law. But the organizer of the event, libertarian radio host Adam Kokesh, says the march is an act of “civil disobedience” that attempts to prove gun advocates’ point in the “SUBTLEST way possible.”

The event’s Facebook invitation describes the march as a nonviolent demonstration, “unless the government chooses to make it violent”:

This is an act of civil disobedience, not a permitted event. We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny. We are marching to mark the high water mark of government & to turn the tide. This will be a non-violent event, unless the government chooses to make it violent. Should we meet physical resistance, we will peacefully turn back, having shown that free people are not welcome in Washington, & returning with the resolve that the politicians, bureaucrats, & enforcers of the federal government will not be welcome in the land of the free.

There’s a remote chance that there will be violence as there has been from government before, and I think it should be clear that if anyone involved in this event is approached respectfully by agents of the state, they will submit to arrest without resisting. We are truly saying in the SUBTLEST way possible that we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees.

where do you come up with 900 guns nationwide? We have more people than that who own guns just in many counties of Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee etc. even many with small populations.

These gun marchers are hoping to have their guns confiscated so they can say guns are being seized by Obama and democrats in order to foster more lies about gun control now that the killing of innocent children is making an impact on the public and even many gun owners.
Hopefully the police will remove their guns unload them, search the individuals who carried the guns and any other supporters for more ammunition, issue significant financial tickets maybe 500 dollars or so to each, retain the ammunition and return the guns. Some states are passing 10th Amendment laws to NOT obey federal law enforcement, even to arrest any federal agent trying to do so. They are getting with county sheriffs, AGs and others to do this. It's all Koch funded - but that makes no difference to the RWNJs.

here in DC. Because of sequestration, the National Park Service has announced that there will be no 4th of July concert as in past years. Already business owners in DC are worried about loosing revenue because visitors won't be coming here as much. What would they have thought, if the students at Kent State had returned fire, and routed the National Guard?

What if the members of the Million Man March had marched armed?

What if Trayvon Martin had been armed, and seeing George Zimmerman pulling a gun on him, had drawn and shot first?

What if Occupy Wall Street had been armed, and declared they would defend their camps?

What if pro-choice activists stopped just taking it, and started dishing it out? Every time an abortion provider was murdered, an anti-choice activist was murdered, every time a clinic was blown up, an anti-choice church was blown up?

My guess they would be shitting their pants from fear, and call for the strictest type of gun control.

Is that all of these armed marchers need to be watched, and watched closely. They need to be recorded by the public on every iPhone and Android video camera you can muster. If fire breaks out, and they start it, there needs to be tons of documentary evidence from multiple angles of how it all went down so they can't claim "The police shot first!"

Give'em enough rope, etc...
