Calif. Supreme Court Rules Cities Can Ban Pot Dispensaries
Source: CBS Los Angeles
The California Supreme Court ruled Monday that city governments have the authority to outlaw local medical marijuana dispensaries.
The ruling on the case of City of Riverside v. Inland Empire Patients Health and Wellness Center was expected to draw scores of medical marijuana advocates to dispensaries around the Southland and statewide to protest a ruling they say would illegally allow cities to regulate and restrict the industry.
.......
Jeffrey Dunn, an Irvine-based attorney who argued the case in front of the State Supreme Court for the city of Riverside, told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO city officials see the problem as a public safety issue.
When we look carefully at Prop. 215, what we see is that there was an intent on the voters part to make marijuana available to seriously ill Californians, Dunn said. There was never any indication that we would see the type of storefront dispensaries that we see opening up everywhere.

Time to amend that state law so cities can NOT do this.

Where are they supposed to get it assholes? Oh but fucking liquor stores are just fine. Pot should be available in ALL of Ca. How can these assholes pick and choose. I would think those that "pay" the city a certain amount of money can stay open. Kind of like thugs taking over the neighborhoods. So medical Marijuana patients have to drive maybe 50 or 100 miles just to get what they need, while the pill poppers can just go to ANY pharmacy and get their shit.
I live in Lancaster Ca, and we don't have any shops here. I only have to drive 11 miles to Radiation Rosamond, but Lancaster is LA county where as Rosamond in Kern county. But in other parts of LA county, it's fine. I'm growing my own so I won't have to deal with this shit. Hoping one day to open up a delivery service. We have those here, but going to the shops is fun. My delivery service will have samples to taste which is lacking out here. You buy the shit because it looks so good and smells nice, but smoking it is the true test.
