IMAGES of the deadly Oklahoma tornado were roaring across her TV screen, but Marissa Bernowitz was worrying about a man she had never met.
The Rockaway woman frantically dialed Matt Cantrell, who had entered her life when he sent two U-Haul trucks filled with supplies to storm-torn Queens in November.
You make friends when storms and disasters happen, said Bernowitz, who left her job at a corporate taxi fleet to start the relief group Rockaway Free Weekly Flea Market.

Maybe the GOP can learn a lesson from this, or not.
