did to a big extent. Unfortunately the cost was huge for everyone, especially women but any man who did not go along all the way. Indoctrination of children (boys) by providing free education resulted in a generation of Fundamentalist freaks. Money poured into the country by way of education and health care for a generation would cost less than the wars and result in a much better socio-economic-political climate for all. But that wouldn't make money for the War Machine so, here we are.
