Mysterious explosions reported at Syrian arms depots

Source: BBC Arabic

Arab media outlets reported mysterious explosions at a military facility near the Syrian coastal city of Latakia overnight Friday. BBC Arabic reported powerful explosions at a Syrian military arms depots near the Latakia port that sent shock waves several kilometers from the source.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Chairman Rami Abdel Rahman said intense explosions shook the entire region, where the Syrian regime has a large army base and multiple arms caches. The explosions occurred possibly after they were targeted with rockets, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Witnesses reported that at least 10 Syrian troops were killed following the explosions. Reports attributed the explosions to an attack aimed at government arms cashes near the village of Asamiya, 20 kilometers (12 miles) northeast of Latakia.

Abdel Rahman said there were indications that the blasts were caused by rocket fire targeting the depots, but that there was uncertainty over who was behind the attack.

Sure, say thanks to a rogue state for violating the territorial integrity of a neighbour state, escalating the conflict and implicating it's allies (US in particular) in another act of aggression. Isn't politics grand? Or tell me you were joking, right? Why can't we live in peace?
Seems really clear to me that applauding and praising aggression will only lead to more conflict and more warfare. Is this the world we are working towards? Is anyone listening?

what the Western media reports especially when their sources come from the rebels trying to overthrow the Syrian regime. The reports from the Syrian state media differ from what is happening on the ground in Homs, Lakatia, Aleppo and Damascas. The Syrian military is whipping the rebels just like they did earlier in Al Quesir, according to their media. Russia also claims, they have not delivered those systems yet.

The specific reports coming from Lakatia, is the Syrian military is handing the rebels serious defeats, and recovered a lot of area, the rebels once controled. They also reported heavy casualties among the rebels. They reported killing Saudis, Chechs and Jordanians among the dead. They also discovered tunnels and blowing up two warehouses, the rebels were making weapons. Those could be the explosions being reported. They also captured a warehouse, where the rebels stored a lot of chemicals among the reports and a rebel communication center. They reported the names of the Saudis, Chechs and Jordanians killed in the fighting. Just like in Al Quesair, it was a very detailed report. They reported nothing about Israeli involvement also. If Israel was involved, they would report it. It just depends on which side you want to believe is telling the truth. The source of this report was SANA. Oh, I forgot somethingelse. They reported Syrian rebels turning in their arms because foreigners were taking over. They reported foreign militias fighting each other for control and loot. They said, some of them were cutting off each others heads and establishing Islamic laws in the areas they control. Sounds like fighting between vultures over the carcasses.

just giving a counterbalance to every Post you print coming from this Observation Group, since that seems to be mostly all your sources and favorable to the rebels. There is no other source alluding Israel attacked Syria on Friday, even though the Syrian Army was carrying out an offensive in the area, including the Syrian Air Force. The claims Hezbullah is even involved or Iranians comes from your source too.

At the same time, om just about every occasion, your source alleges to know exactly how many Syrian and Hezbullah casualties were afflicted, but claims Assad's forces are massacring a lot of Civilians. You have been very consistent if anybody ever notice it. Even with your report from the same source knowing what the families of Hezbullah fighters in Lebanon are their people. I didn't know the main source of the rebels had such good relations with Hezbullah family members, after killing and terrorizing them in Lebanon? I guess propaganda, must be addictive by the rebels, because they have not fooled anybody yet. Whomever is paying the Bill,is throwing their money away.
