(27,630 posts)does MSNBC make viewers dumber and less informed after watching, the same way FOX does? I don't watch either, by the way.

(6,956 posts)Fox is untruthful corporate propaganda.
MSNBC still strives to employ the basic rules of journalism. That is their news has some basis in facts and reality, instead of manufactured and false.
MSNBC seems to be suffering ratings-wise these days. The price they must pay for losing Keith Olbermann, the best cable news journalist of the last decade.

(1,799 posts)But I don't think Fox has an equivalent not should they be allowed to call themselves "news." MSNBC makes no secret of their leanings unlike Fox which claims to be "fair and balanced."
I liked MSNBC better years ago and miss Keith.

(39,157 posts)MSNBC does not just make shit up and report it as fact. Still, except for Rachel, the MSNBC talking heads are just polemicists.
BTW, Bill, thanks for throwing the left wing of the party under the bus. But then, old habits die hard.

(14,087 posts)Totally false statement, btw. As was mentioned by other posters...false equivalency, especially since Fox is the station that went to the supreme court so they could be called an ENTERTAINMENT channel, and tell all the lies they want to.
