FBI increases surveillance of Syrians in US
Source: Agence France Presse
AFP - The FBI has beefed up its surveillance of Syrians living in the United States ahead of a possible US military attack on Syria, The New York Times reported Sunday...
... The newspaper said FBI agents are set to interview hundreds of Syrians in the coming days...
... It said senior FBI officials have also directed the bureau's field offices to follow up with sources linked to Syrians as part of an effort to identify any talk of a retaliatory strike. And Syrians currently under investigation will be placed under closer scrutiny.
"They're not starting from scratch - the field offices know what they have in terms of sources and investigations, but this is a directive for them to redouble their efforts and check their traps," a senior US official told the Times.

(27,137 posts)If you see a suspicious appearing Syrian you should immediately report it to the FBI at 1-800-SPY4FBI.
The suspects may at first appear to be ''normal'' in every way. But don't let that fool you. They're out there and we need everyone looking for them and to stay on ALERT!
- And to look to the bosom of your government for security and safety, now and forever more......

From city to city the viewpoints vary because the mix of backgrounds varies. In one city you have Christian government supporters, in another you have jihad supporters.
