The Capitol has officers on duty within the building...which means that those inside would still be protected!

I'm not aware of anyone named "atreides1" being put in charge of security at the Capitol, but I'm willing to be further informed.

What the tactical team was doing is referred to in EMS services as 'mutual aid', and it is VITAL in such situations. There was no acceptable excuse for what he did.

You know that the Capitol went on lockdown, yes?

In particular, I would be interested in your source of information on specifically who was "recalled" from doing what.

DC Metro denies this story, btw.

The Capitol being on lockdown does NOT require a tactical-response team, but an 'active shooter(s)' scene does. DC Metro can deny whatever they wish, but their knowledge would be second-hand, since they have no command or control over the Capitol Police Department, a separate, independent entity.

Woodward and Bernstein never identified "Deep Throat". Does that mean that their Watergate stories were incorrect?

PS: this is not your father's military. *

PPS: the U.S. Capitol Police are not a part of the armed forces.

* I might have to explain that to younger DUers. It's a play on an old advertising campaign.
