Paramus mayor says gunman is gone and mall is still in lockdown

At a press conference outside the Garden State Plaza tonight, the mayor of Paramus said the gunman was no longer inside the mall.
Mayor Rich LaBarbiera described the mall as "in lockdown" and said there were no know injuries.
"Everyone is safe. No one has been injured, LaBarbiera said.
LaBarbiera said a single shot was fired and that a single shell casing from a long-barreled rifle was found. He said the gunman was at large and there was no known motive for the shooting.

(7,403 posts)Will determine the route the shooter took inside the mall and whether he came into the mall dressed as he was or did a clothing change in a restroom. I'm sure they will be able to also locate his entry point to the mall. They will probably be able to blow up a photo showing his face. It is less likely they will have photos to identify his vehicle, however -- but you never know. Was this a dry run for the real operation? Odds are fairly high that he will strike again but at a different target. Could this end up like the DC snipers? Let's hope they get this joker and soon.
