Tech pros hit Issa for taking Park away from HealthCare.gov

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) - A group of technology experts has a message for Rep. Darrell Issa, the Republican Oversight Committee chairman who last week disregarded the White House’s insistence that U.S. technology chief Todd Park is too busy to testify about his efforts to repair HealthCare.gov.

“Let Todd Work,” the group proclaims on a website launched after Issa issued a subpoena for Park to appear before his panel on Wednesday.

“Now, instead of continuing to fix HealthCare.gov (a mess he did not make), Mr. Park has to spend his hours preparing for his testimony,” declares the website on its homepage, before listing some of Park’s accomplishments.

“Mr. Park is a fantastic civil servant, who cares about making government more effective and accountable, just like Mr. Issa,” the group writes. “We hope that they can work together on solving the policies that enabled HealthCare.gov to fail in the first place. No matter what side of the aisle you sit on, Todd is one of the good guys. Let him do his job.”

Of course, Issa is not interested in trying to figure out what is going on. Rather, he is busy playing gotcha by asking witnesses about documents that they have never seen, then leaking edited transcripts to advance his right wing talking points. Issa is the poster boy for what is wrong with the Republican party and Congress.

Meetings can be the bane of a developer, as they have to spend time explaining to non-technical people the whys of a project's status, rather than actually working on the project. It's like a Dilbert cartoon w/ a room full of pointy-haired bosses.

I hate those meetings, they ask questions like:

"Alright. I understand, but is there any way we can do it for just her?."

I don't think so. Issa's been at it longer than Cruz and has perfected his assholery at this point. Plus he's from California, which I REALLY do not understand how that happened.

is the part where they stated that Darrel "Grand-Theft-Auto" Issa was interested in making government effective and accountable. He has NO such interest.

...for your chump-ass, Mr. Issa. Which should be used to thwart this openly asinine and ham-handed attempt to further damage this BS Republican healthcare plan:

Executive Privilege

In the United States government, executive privilege is the power claimed by the President of the United States and other members of the executive branch to resist certain subpoenas and other interventions by the legislative and judicial branches of government. The concept of executive privilege is not mentioned explicitly in the United States Constitution, but the Supreme Court of the United States ruled it to be an element of the separation of powers doctrine, and/or derived from the supremacy of executive branch in its own area of Constitutional activity. link

- Now all we need is someone with the balls (testes or ovaries accepted) to use it.

Issa will do everything he can possibly think of to hurt the president.

And some of us are doing what we can to find and help someone to run against him. The shut down gives us a window in several nearby races.

Issa's dumbass subpoenas until December.

Issa's plan is obviously to pull Todd Park out of the office, and stop him from working to fix the website, by slapping him with a subpoena. It's a cheap political trick, and everybody knows it.

So, Obama should fight a cheap political trick with ANOTHER cheap political trick. He orders Park to ignore Daryll "Flintbox" Issa's subpoenas and get back to work. Issa then slaps Park with an indictment for ignoring the subpoena, and Obama issues Park a PRESIDENTIAL PARDON. Specifically, a pardon against any conviction that results from igoniring a subpoena to appear before Congress between today, and December 1. (After all, Ford granted Nixon a pardon for anything he MIGHT have done during his term in office. Why not use the Presidential Pardon as a way of FRUSTRATING crooks, rather than PARDONING crooks for a change?)
