Ted Cruz: Obama is ‘lawless’ and senators must ‘render judgement’ on impeachment

Source: Raw Story

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) opened the door over the weekend to impeaching President Barack Obama because he said that the commander in chief had been “lawless.”

In an interview published on Saturday, Newsmax’s Steve Malzberg asked Cruz what could be done about the “abuse of power” by the Obama administration.

“One of the most troubling aspects of the Obama administration is, aside from their radical policies, the way they’ve implemented it has sadly been lawless,” Cruz explained. “Over and over again, this president has said, ‘I don’t care what the law is, I’m going to refuse to enforce it.’”

The Texas senator cited the administration’s decision to grant work permits to young immigrants who were brought to the United States as children and tweaks to implementing the health care reform law.

Think of this: his main teacher & role model day in and out,
his crazy father. He thinks in extremes, black and white.
Cruz learned to speak & perform in the style of a megachurch
preacher, the intonations, facial expressions.. except he
talks nonsense about politics instead of about religion.

any progressive goals. If we are constantly defending against blatant

cheap, comprehensive coverage, they may just show up with their own

Hey Teddy, if you have an accusation, MAKE IT.
You keep saying he has "broken the law", and needs
to be impeached, but you never provide one valid charge.
What's your indictment, you stupid, demagogue
motherfucker?! I wish someone in the media had the
balls to say, "Make a specific accusation or STFU."
Why is he allowed to accuse without citing a crime?

Radical Policies? which ones exactly?
Lawless Implementation? the example you gave is stupid and wrong.
Abuse of Power? When and what did he do?
"I refuse to enforce the law?" Really? He said that, even indirectly?

He is the perfect example of why people hate politicians.

bring this shit up.

From the Baby Bush era:

  • dereliction of duty on 9/11

  • Lying about the need for war against Iraq

  • violating the Geneva Convention by torturing prisoners

  • torturing and holding American citizens without charge or access to an attorney

  • Issuing signing statements that violated the clear intent of legislation he was signing into law

  • Lying to the American public about large scale wiretapping

  • Lying to Congress and the public about the cost of Medicare Part D and coercing a government actuary to lie as well.

I don't have time to do a thorough list on Reagan, but the biggie:

  • Iran/Contra: selling weapons to Iran and giving the money to Contras in Nicaragua in violation of US law.

  • Likely negotiating for delaying the release of US hostages to undermine Jimmy Carter's re-election prospects and committing treason by undermining US foreign policy.

And so on.
