Darrell Issa tells Fox News: ‘The biggest tool we have is to shame’ Obama

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by NancyBlueINOklahoma (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: Raw Story

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) on Thursday said on Thursday that the “biggest tool we have is to shame” the Obama administration, but insisted that was not what he was trying to do with his investigations into the alleged IRS targeting of tea party groups.

During an interview with Fox News, host Brian Kilmeade asked the chairman of the House Oversight Committee what he could do to force the administration to hand over former IRS official Lois Lerner’s emails after they said it would take “years” to produce all of them.

The California Republican said that he “ordered” that 12 years of his emails be put on a thumb drive in less than an hour. So, the IRS should be able to do the same for Lerner.

“You need some type of threat of retribution,” Kilmeade noted. “But it doesn’t seem as though you have it.”

“Our tools in Congress are limited,” Issa agreed. “Sometimes the biggest tool we have is to shame the administration.”

“Our tools in Congress are limited.” ??? Seems to me the Congress is overrun with "Tools".

Issa just admitted that he wasted millions of dollars of taxpayer dollars to SHAME the President in sham hearings to benefit the TEA Party because... that's Congress' only weapon.... I mean tool.

Your tax dollars at work, ladies and gentlemen.

Must be a self-abuse addiction Issa is afflicted with. You'd think someone in his party would hand him a kerchief and stage an intervention.

do you know continue to use the same computer for twelve years. In the last twelve years I have gone through at least three computers and got rid of the old ones right away. It would be impossible for me to give someone twelve years of my e-mails.

Anyone paying attention already knows Issa does nothing but run from one manufactured outrage to another, but accomplishes exactly *ZERO*.

Issa fatigue set in with the general electorate a long time ago. Try talking to anyone not a political junkie about Issa and what he's accomplished in Congress, most will give you a blank stare.

This turd should be thrown out of office. He has wasted millions of tax payer's money on his witch hunts that have resulted in nothing more than a waste of time for everyone who had the misfortune to be a focus of one of them.
