(40,416 posts)That somebody's fracking in the midst of the Pacific Ocean?
Or that all earthquakes, all over the world are generated by... fracking?
Both of these propositions are ridiculous.
Earthquake! Aha! Fracking!
Really?
Sorry. But this meme needs to die.

One never knows with these things. So many conspiracies. Hard to keep track of them all.
Myself, I am with David Icke. I think it's all lizard aliens. Or, just maybe the Illuminati.
ARRRRGH! Can't stand it anymore. They're everywhere!

(40,416 posts)Somebody here on DU was suggesting the 5.1 in SoCal the other day was fracking.
Gotta nip that shit in the bud. It's just plain ignorance.
Faux pas
(16,343 posts)felt a 7.0 from 80 miles away in SoCal once. Screw getting in the doorway, you can't move without falling.

(114,646 posts)in my area it was a 7.8 and as violent an experience one could imagine, even though official records said 6.9 (insurance/governmental reasons). I still have the scars from 3 surgeries and slight limp 20 years later. Many died.
An 8 would be incredibly violent.

(25,699 posts)There are forests of dead trees up mountainsides, where the tsunami flooded in and poisoned the soil with salt.
I can't even fathom what it was like to live through it.

(114,646 posts)A lot of people die when it is near 7. An 8 would be epic.

Lots of activity on the Pacific Rim lately. You have to wonder what will be next.
