7 tons of hummus recalled from Target, Trader Joes (Listeria contamination)

SAN FRANCISCO
The threat of a Listeria contamination forced a company to issue a voluntary recall Thursday of approximately 14,860 pounds of hummus and dip products from stores across the country including mega-chains Target and Trader Joes.
The Massachusetts-based Lansal Inc. said the recall was only as a precaution.

(6,419 posts)It's tons cheaper and easy. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-hummus/ but instead of canned garbanzo beans, just get raw garbanzos and boil/simmer them for about 2 hours (til soft) in salted water
