Source: BBC News
28 July 2014 Last updated at 04:21 By Pallab Ghosh Science correspondent, BBC News ![]() Dinosaurs were wiped out by an asteroid impact when they were at their most vulnerable, according to a new study. Dr Steve Brusatte, of Edinburgh University, said sea level rises and volcanic activity had made many species more susceptible to extinction. They might have survived if the asteroid had hit the Earth a few million years later or earlier, he said, calling it "colossal bad luck". The assessment has been published in the journal, Biological Reviews. 3. He got tired of the pressure of having to be funny every day.
It's why a lot of great cartoonists quit, and the unfunny ones just continue to go on and on and on.

4. After a while one runs out of ideas ...
best to go out on top rather than end in mediocrity. I respect guys like Larson, Watterman and Breathed who know when to quit.

5. Maybe his bank was full?
I had most of his books, they were mostly "borrowed" and never returned or misplaced. I only have
a couple left. |

I have the poster and put it up in my cubicle at one of my jobs. My supervisor was not amused.

19. Bad luck for them, not so much for us
Without that asteroid, we'd just be fuzzy rats scampering among the leaves and grasses.
