Poll: Public divided over Israel's actions
Source: The Hill
The public remains divided over whether Israels actions toward Hamas have been justified, though more are critical of Hamass actions, according to a Gallup survey released Tuesday.
Forty-two percent of people in the United States said Israels actions are justified, while 38 percent said they are unjustified. Twenty-one percent said they have no opinion.
Only 14 percent said Palestinians actions against Israel are justified; 66 percent said they are unjustified.
Public opinion of Israels actions has changed little over the last 10 days since Gallup conducted its last poll on the issue. Slightly more people, however, now say Hamass actions are justified.

(26,060 posts)That they care more about Israel than the US? I don't see any question that resembles that at all.

(11,014 posts)As the demographics change, the newly powerful Hispanic and Asian blocks wouldn't care about Israel or its security.
Israel has a window of about 10-20 years to hammer out a peace deal or they will lose American support.

(8,020 posts)of the history of Israel's "founding" - out of Palestinian land with the collaboration of the European powers - especially England. They have NO idea that the current "Palestinian" people have lived in what is now "Israel" for hundreds of years, and that giving that land "back" to the Jewish people (who God only knows have truly suffered over the centuries) makes LESS sense that does giving ALL of the United States back to the Native Americans, who still "owned" MOST of the US less than two centuries ago. Most Americans have NO idea about how many Palestinians were forced out of the homes and off of their land so that European and American Jews could occupy it. Israel is the last European colony in the Middle East. Ms Bigmack
