Anheuser-Busch unhappy with NFL's policing

Source: espn

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of the official beer of the NFL, issued a strong statement expressing its displeasure over how the league has responded to its players being connected to incidents of domestic violence and child abuse.

"We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season," a representative for Anheuser-Busch said in a statement. "We are not yet satisfied with the league's handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league."

thats what the nfl needs. a threat to their income... maybe now they will realize they have amajor prooblem on their hands.
the commisioner should go. now. hes proven himself unable to deal with the problem.
those convicted of domestic violence should be banned from the leagu

those indicted on child abuse charges should be suspended until the case is decided. upon conviction they should be barred for life

its a privlege to be paid millions to play a sport. if you cant act responsibly then you lose the money

So glad the Busch family sold their beer company. You'd never hear this from a Busch owned Budweiser.

Nice how a bunch of AB workers were let go, others offered packages.

Benefits cut, etc...

Besides AB beers sucking, I buy local and American-owned.

Not many majors are US-Owned anymore.

Also, Most of the breads sold in the US are Mexican-owned, other are european-owned now.

What I don't like is that the big corp brewers are trying to buy into the micro-brew field. They already have the sudo "craft" beers like Sam Adams.

And another rant. I loved Tim's Potato Chips until Nalley bought them out and changed the ingredients.

Beer, the MAJOR contributor to spousal abuse, especially during football season, doesn't like how the NFL is handling this. How many children learned how to say Bud Wise Er by three cute frogs over 30 years ago, or Bud Bowl. Sporting events would better off dropping alcohol all together.

But what player can drink a lot of beer and still have a career. They may as well smoke too. Or the poor kids who go to games with an adult who's been drinking for hours, and now has to drive home. Alcohol and sports don't mix like sports and tobacco. Alcohol and race car driving don't mix. There are plenty of sports drinks who could take the place of beer sponsors at the events, and commercials. Where are the town criers who say "What about the children?" when it comes to alcohol commercials and sporting events.

In the case of alcohol, it's much worse than asinine. I've got a special place in hell for that stuff; personal life experience related. Yecch.

But yeah, the dishonesty of marketing ..... I've always hated the phoniness, the lying....... the desperate grinning..... drives me crazy. Anyone who doesn't believe that constant intrusion into our lizard brains has a cumulative effect is Fuckkkkkkkking Stupid.

And Stupid is getting sore. Ha. Ha.

Around 60-70% of domestic violence/abuse incidents involve alcohol last I saw.

It is kind of hypocritical that the alcoholic product they make billions off of contributes much more to domestic abuse than the NFL.

I could see this coming. Who wants to watch a bunch of big bullies who beat their wives and children and get millions of dollars a year. I am sure when a fan sells out 200 or 300 dollars for a ticket to a game and pays 50 dollars to park, they have to think about this, that they are just enriching a bunch of very lousy men. Just wait and see, the ticket sells to the NFL games will start to fall as will TV viewership.

... these companies are asking for is a clear and comprehensive set of policies used consistently when players are facing these allegations. IMHO, it is not too much to ask, the NFL is really handling all these about as poorly as could be imagined.
