NYPD probes treatment of pregnant woman

NEW YORK (AP) -- A pregnant woman who was taken to the ground on her stomach during a videotaped altercation with New York City police says she's praying she'll deliver a healthy baby.
Police say Sandra Amezquita (SAHN'-druh ah-mehz-KEE'-tuh) had tried to intervene in the arrest of her 17-year-old son on Saturday. She received a disorderly conduct summons.
Amezquita is about 5 months pregnant. Her lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein, said Wednesday the family plans to meet with prosecutors on Monday. The Brooklyn district attorney's office said it could not immediately confirm that.
Amezquita's son was charged with weapon possession, resisting arrest and harassment.
