Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo says Jesse Matthew is in police custody after being arrested in connection to missing UVa. student Hannah Martin.
Matthew, who is charged with abduction with intent to defile, was arrested in Galveston, Texas and is being extradited.

(5,842 posts)to start doing sweeps of their property. I gather that means they found her blood in the suspect's car or apartment and that they believe the are now looking for a body.
I hope I'm wrong but I can't think of another reason for that request being made.

(32,056 posts)a student from a nearby college attending a concert in Charlottesville. They did find that girl in the field but never had an arrest. Her name was Morgan Harrington and if you do a few searches you find out about the similarities. Not out of the realm of possibility that this could be one killer.
Feel really bad for her and friends/family - I highly doubt they are looking for a live person at this point.

(32,056 posts)I've been checking on this story every few days. I used to live in the area but many years ago ... Anyway today the police announced that they do in fact have a DNA connection between suspect Matthew and the Harrison case 5 years ago. They are still looking for Hannah.
