Snow storm reportedly delays delivery of 50,000 UPS packages in Colo.
Instead of presents, there might be IOUs under some Christmas trees in Colorado on Sunday.
This week's snow storm has delayed the delivery of some 50,000 UPS packages into the Denver area, CNN affiliate KUSA reported, citing a company spokeswoman.
"We know it's Christmas. We apologize for the delay, but we can't control the weather," Natalie Godwin said. "As soon as we can, we're going to get all of those packages delivered."
Hundreds of people waited in line Saturday outside of the UPS building in Commerce City, hoping to pick up their packages, KUSA said.

(113,961 posts)that had been "way-laid'.... I'd even ordered really early, but somehow it got re-routed. Very very glad to have found it, though quite a "pain" on Christmas eve to try to pick it up (with one sole overworked UPS worker trying to service a large line of people).
But, the good part of the story is that a very nice man in line offered to heave the package over the icy parking lot and put it into my car. I'm not helpless, but that would have been difficult for me. So extra Merry Christmas thoughts for that man!
