(258,910 posts)I remember her. She and her husband, Gary Collins, used to come to Saratoga (Springs, NY), my home town, during the August racing season, always made a few well publicized appearances. Wishing her Godspeed...

Are you still in Saratoga? We use to go there a lot for music at Caffe Lena's and go to the Four Seasons.

(258,910 posts)Am now just north of Glens Falls, south of Lake George, but still think of Saratoga as home. Moved north with my parents just in time for 9th grade *sigh*, always thought I'd move back.
I do know Cafe Lena, don't think I ever went there, LOL, but I can remember seeing Lena around town. And Four Seasons is a favorite. There's nothing like that further north. Saratoga really has everything. Glens Falls has very little and right now Lake George is a ghost town.

(320,641 posts)daughter went to their chiropractor from Little Falls and my niece at age 15 decided that's what she wanted to be when she grew up. She's now been a chiropractor in NYC for quite awhile now and doing so well!
Stay warm and cozy, Rhiannon

(258,910 posts)There's no traffic and nothing is open (except the gas stations and the occasional pizza place). I accidentally ran a red light, was nobody was around to notice.
That's very cool about your niece. Did you mean Glens Falls or Little Falls? I had one grandmother living in each one...

She did much good with her life. May she rest in peace.
