So much anger over what will probably be a temporary loss of their favorite daily right-wing propaganda. Take a look at comments so far on Facebook. LOL !!

Why would they?

Comcast in DC offers a fairly robust "limited basic tier" that includes MSNBC and CNBC (probably because Comcast owns them), but you have to move up to the next level to get CNN, Fox News, ESPN and dozens of other channels.

In most cable systems, more than 85 percent of subscribers take the expanded tier. In fact, its hard to find out that there is a lower priced "broadcast" or "limited" basic on a lot of cable systems since they don't heavily promote it.

What nearly all of these people don't get when this kind of thing happens between a Satellite provider, and a Network is that the Sat provider is the middle man who occasionally has to renegotiate deals to carry any certain network for a contracted amount of time. So it is very likely that NEWS INC wants more money from DISH than they are willing to pay right now. These dimwits on the facebook comments are all threatening to switch to the other provider which also has contract disputes with different networks from time to time.

1) Make Faux News/Faux Business News PPV only channel. Yes, the morons will have to actually pay to get their propaganda. Charge them $100/month - like Playboy Channel or something. Both Dish and DirecTV could benefit from these and lower rates for those who do not subscribe to Faux.

2) Make Faux pay $1 million PER day not to switch to a very obscure channel to be changed daily, not their usual channel.

3) In exchange, Dish has the right to shut them off if they do not shape up their propaganda and follow the 50/50 balance, if they want to be called "Fair and Balanced".

4) Ban Hannity - forever.

Dish pays networks for the right to carry their programming, not the other way around. Same thing for the other multichannel video programming distributors (i.e., e.g. Verizon FioS, traditional cable, DirecTV)
