Police: Gunman believed dead, 2 injured in Florida mall shooting

Source: CNN

CNN) One person was dead and two others injured Saturday after a shooting at a central Florida mall, Melbourne police Cmdr. Vince Pryce said.

The gunman is believed to be the lone fatality in the shooting at Melbourne Square Mall, Pryce said.

The injured were taken to a local hospital; their condition was unknown.

The "situation is contained" and the mall was closed, Pryce said.

Apparently, a man came to the mall and shot his wife, a worker at the pizza place in the food court. A co-worker tried to interced, and he got shot (fatally, I think). I also read that the shooter shot himself, but thus far, the co-worker seems to be the only fatality.

8. So, guns cause terrorism?

So, according to your logic, inanimate objects cause anti-social behavior, intolerance and the general ass-hattery of railing against other cultures and groups of which you know little or nothing, and a desire to send heavily-armed men to enforce your will upon the unbelievers. Come to think of it, that would explain you and guns...

I only deal in using the words of hypocrites, fools and bigots to demonstrate that they are those respective qualities. Judging from the response when I do this, I would say that "outrage" is more of a characteristic of gun control types, so maybe you just mis-typed your subject line and meant to say "anti-gunner".

Or it could be you actually meant to say "I love taking a moral stance that would disenfranchise 30% of Democrats after Democrats got their butts kicked in the 2014 mid-terms, because I think that's a winning strategy for 2016."

Of course, I actually have no idea of what goes on in the head of Fred Sanders. Which is one of the few characteristics you and I share.

My roommate works at the pizza place in the mall that this happened at. His manager's husband came in and shot her. The owner of the restaurant tried to wrestle the gun away and was shot 4 times before the gunman turned the gun on himself. My roommate is devastated. He was close with the owner and the manager (Ida, the manager, survived. The owner, who's name still hasn't been released, so I won't state it here was killed). My roommate had just found out a few days prior that the manager had separated from her husband previously due to domestic abuse. They had been back together for the last 2 months.

I've never met any of his coworkers, but they go out for drinks and what not after work a lot and hang out. I was out of town all day yesterday, and when I got back, my roommate was a mess. His wife was helping out with their kid while he and I hung out in the garage and drank some beers while he waxed poetic about his boss. Apparently on Friday night he had requested to work a double on Saturday, but he was turned down. He was scheduled to come in at 4. He's quite lucky. I know him. He would've been right next to the owner trying to wrestle the gun away.

They've been up at the hospital all day with Ida, the manager. She's in good condition, albeit I'm sure she's a complete mess as well.
