The Profiting off of Michael Brown's Death, and Other Disgusting Actions in Ferguson

"Somehow, the REAL story has been lost.

The story was about how a young man was murdered in cold blood on an Saturday afternoon in August, which hundreds of neighbors witnessed the man's body in the streets for hours on end, or a few -- the murder itself.

The Victims' name is Michael Brown.

As of Thursday August 21, 2014, Victim Brown has not yet received a burial service by his loved ones. The family were waiting on the results of two autopsy reports after Brown's shooting death. Brown's survivors have scheduled a home-going and burial service on Monday, August 25.

Still, never fear, the profiteers and attention seeking vultures have entered Ferguson. Attempting, and sadly receiving periled vision measures of success, by driving attention to themselves instead of directly towards the tragedy of Brown's murder.

Whether its' T-Shirts, Face-time in front of a camera, morphing into a "national celebrity" while someone manages a twitter account, voter registration drives, racists rising up to throw fire on frames of ethnic hate or journalists becoming the story; the death of a 18-year-old young man."

The voter registration drives are there to get people who don't vote TO vote, so they can take back control of their community, despite the bizarre voting laws that exist solely to make it harder for people to vote, or to know just who they're voting for, or what those people believe.

To allow the community to gain control of the very police that are shooting them, gassing them, harassing them.

Exactly! The voter registration drives are to empower the people, not profit off of them! For the life of me, how can anyone put that in a sentence of (justified) criticisms against profiting off of Michael Brown's murder when his murder has actually launched a civil rights movement that was long overdue in Ferguson and what will help those still suffering under the yoke of Ferguson's all-White police state.

Stopped the MURDER of Mike Brown.

Voter Registration drives since the murder of Mike Brown did not stop the agitators seeking attention of the media, despite residents of Ferguson desire to engage in peaceful protests following the murder of Mike Brown. Voter Registration drives did not stop the police shooting just three days ago of a suspect in the St. Louis area, bashing a knife.

Voter registration drives did not create "calm" in Ferguson. The actions of Attorney General Eric Holder, President Barack Obama, Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, although not our favored person-Gov. Jay Nixon, and the PEOPLE OF FERGUSON did.... period.

So, this is the truth about the "pop up" "Voter Registration Drives" in Ferguson.

Why the heck was these actions not the norm BEFORE the killing of Mike Brown and/or any other African-American in Ferguson facing unequal justice (which did not result in murder) before NOW? Ferguson had a 12% voter turnout in the LAST PRIMARY. Also, who determined exactly the voters of Ferguson were not registered ? Did anyone?

Instead the question is WHY IS IT A FACT FERGUSON'S MINORITY POPULATION ARE not voting ? Tackle that issue on a DEEP and LOGICAL level, first. Next, craft a SERIES of COMMUNITY BASED MEETINGS discussing the problem, and finally draft STRATEGIC PLANS to change it.

Popping up booths on City Streets in Ferguson, and have folks "fill out" a voter registration card is NOT going to MAKE THEM VOTE! Until it is clearly known the REASONS WHY they don't feel, believe or desire to vote. Then and only then will insight be gained on what specific actions must be done to CHANGE this dynamic!

You are god-damned right that journalists embedded within the protests being arrested are part of the story!

This whole piece is garbage.

We have received MANY EMAILS congratulating us for telling the truth with this piece. As Captain Ron Johnson (Missouri Highway Patrol) said:

"We have a lot of media that have not done a great job. Last night, when crowds were walking and small groups — and they got larger, and they were just walking — and then when a certain element — that criminal element, that got out here with masks on, that wanted to agitate and build up the crowd, would stop in front of the media — the media would swarm around them, give them a platform and glamorize their activity," Johnson said, according to a Mediaite video of the interview.

When the media promotes the disruptive protesters, Johnson argued, the more violent demonstrators rush to the scene.

"And then before we knew it, the crowd was 100. Now it’s 200. Now it’s 300," Johnson said. "And now those criminals began to start throwing things out of the crowd that was standing within the media."

Amazing as the "Media" has left, the situation has become peaceful with the protests in Ferguson again. Wonder why?

Because the Peaceful Protesters don't NEED the media to protest. Only the ELEMENT looking for attention does. Amazing how all of this works, isn't it.
