It’s Not Just Hillary: Scott Walker’s Email Controversy
"But Hillary is not the only one with an email problem. Can you say Scott Walker, the Wisconsin Governor and Republican 2016 frontrunner?
Before Walker was elected governor, when he was Milwaukee County Executive, Walkers staff kept a secret email system and set up a secret wireless router in Walkers government office that commingled government and campaign business on private Gmail and Yahoo email accounts.
On top of that, county employees were doing campaign work on government time and, by extension, on the taxpayers dimein violation of state law. As the story goes, one of Walkers aides, Darlene Wink, copped to a misdemeanor guilty plea, and got off with probation for doing campaign work during office hours. Kelly Rindfleisch, Walkers deputy chief of staff when he was county executive, pleaded guilty to a single felony count for spending significant time working as a fund-raiser on government time for Brett Davis, Walkers running mate.
But it didnt end there. Brian Pierick, one of the secret websites webmasters, was convicted of enticing a minor. Another Walker webmaster, Timothy Russell, was sentenced to two years in prison and five years probation for stealing from a veterans group, using the money for trips to Hawaii and the Caribbean, and for meeting with Herman Cains presidential campaign on the veterans tab."

(68,644 posts)County attorney Paul Bargren says in a letter Wednesday to The Associated Press that more than 29 gigabytes of documents were released as ordered by a judge between August and December. The AP and other news organizations reviewed hundreds of thousands of documents during that time.
Bargren says more than 2,500 emails remain to be released that deal with constituents or their representatives inquiring about public assistance issues. He says they are full of personally identifiable information and the county has no more money budgeted to process them.

(5,075 posts)I would volunteer to bring a black marker and cross out identifying information. I could probably get through quite a bunch in one day. With a couple other volunteers we could have them done in a week.
