U.S. officials told the Washington Post that the roughly 14,000 photographs were discovered earlier this year by military prosecutors reviewing documents on the intelligence agency's interrogation program ahead of the Senate Intelligence Committee report.
The classified materials reportedly depict "external and internal shots of facilities where the CIA held al-Qaeda suspects after 9/11" including the infamous "Salt Pit" in Afghanistanas well as sites in Thailand, Poland, Lithuania, and Romania. While the images don't explicitly show the interrogations, there are pictures of naked detainees stripped naked for transport, as well as of torture devices, such as a waterboard and confinement boxes.

(84,711 posts)All of this needs to come out. We, The People, Taxpayers paid for it....We deserve to see what has been done with our money in secret for the most part.

(20,582 posts)I felt sick when I first learned the American Psychological Association had a role in the torture.
http://www.apa.org/ethics/code/ - doesn't seem to have been followed all that well.
I've read so many articles of the horrific conditions and treatment at many of these black sites, many times for prisoners who were trapped for bounty or crossed the wrong border - never charged with a crime, never allowed to contact worried loved ones for years and years, caged and tortured with the blessing, apparently, of lawyers, politicians, psychologists. My question is, who the * made them think they were so powerful they could destroy souls and lives this way. It takes evil hearts and minds to permit and enforce what they did. None of these people deserve to be anywhere but prison themselves.

(26,083 posts)I wasn't joking about MKULTRA based reality either. The first President of the other APA(American Psychiatric Association) was McGill's very own Dr. Ewen Cameron

There are black sites right here in the US staffed by medical professionals, some of which are APA members.
