US needs Turkeys bases and partnership in NATO. Turkey doesn't like the Kurds. The U.S. needs the Kurds, as they're the only group that can mount an effective fight against ISIS. It's a diplomatic dilemma.

The PKK are a terrorist group. They're on every Western country's list including the US'.

Turkey has every right to respond to those who are attacking them.
