(2,382 posts)... that that the liberal PAC, American Bridge, released a video of the Friday encounter that took place in Exeter, NH, but I haven't had time to ferret it out yet. The bottom line is that any report that Social Security is broke is a 5-Pinnochio, pants-on-fire, knee-deep bullshit, lie. And if the government repaid all the money embezzled from the SS trust fund in direct violation of the Budget Enforcement Act of 1990, which forbids the inclusion of Social Security Trust Fund monies in general budget calculations, Social Security wouldn't have a problem for so far into the future that generations as yet unborn would be well cared for in their dotage.
Of course, that is predicated on making sure that no conservative or Third Way DINO befouls the Oval Office ever again.
We can do that, right?

(2,382 posts)... couldn't have sealed his fate any more completely!
Of course, that means that we're assuming there are primary-attending Republicans that can recognize the correlation of childbirth being a direct result of getting' jiggy wit' it, never mind comprehending complex abstractions like where their Social Security checks actually come from.
(Hint) It ain't the cabbage patch, Bubba!

(3,687 posts)their fear and racism and greed trumps everything for them.
Friday night, at the pub, a firend of mine (republican) was asked if he would take a transfusion from a Muslim if it would save his life. He fumed "I'd die first". I injected that "that's insane, when your racism trumps your own survival, you are suicidal. Please finish it soon so the rest of us can get on with cleaning up the mess you've caused". He left. Even our other republican buddies ther at the time agreed with me.
(dont' get bent out of shape kids, this is the way we talk to each other at the pub. Age range is from 66 to about 40, We've been friends between 50 and 15 years depending)

(47,953 posts)Or those who die of preventable diseases because they can't afford their medications. Or those who can't afford a place to live on SS........
And that isn't even mentioning the younger folks.....
But I am sure meathead doesn't think any of those folks are 'real americans', just 'takers' who were 'too stupid and lazy to plan ahead'
