I warned people about getting too hysterical about Trump, lest he end up losing momentum and allowing another GOP extremist to come in and position himself as the reasonable anti-trump. And now Cruz who is absolutely more sincerely batshit psycho conservative extreme than Trump is poised to do just that.
Our best move would have been to let their whole shit show play itself out. Not protest, no scream and yell about how evil Trump is. But since we couldn't do that, now we're likely going to have to deal with Cruz and a new batch of media sycophants painting him as some kind of "moderate".
