to conduct a foreign policy review with nominees of both parties, including sensitive information, but.............

That is custom, not law, and the ultimate decision of what to disclose is up to the President.

... the depths to which political discourse has sunk among conservatives. Simplistic, belligerent demagoguery is much preferred over well-reasoned and carefully researched solutions to complex socio-economic issues and international diplomacy.

Dick Armey once said that Bill Clinton "... never met an education program he didn't like." In Armey's sick and twisted mind, this was a pejorative. But conservative distrust of education is what has produced an ill-informed and incurious electorate consumed with inchoate resentments they are too dirt stupid to articulate, let alone understand.

And so they flock to witless skid marks like Trump, who is the embodiment of the malevolent corporatist forces that are largely responsible for their problems in the first place. Go figure...

There's no other way to describe why Trump's fanatics are so devoted, their enthusiastic veneration of him, specifically his personality, is shockingly incomprehensible to me. Those people are reacting to their emotions, they aren't thinking or concerned about his contradictory statements, his hate, bigotry, misogyny, or his lack of official policy positions, they only seem interested in being entertained by his bombastically clownish carnival act.

As a citizen I don't want follow Trump.

I think I'd feel sick if I had to serve under him as commander.
