"Is Death Penalty The Best Way To Fight Corruption?"

"The current level of corruption in Nigeria is so high that it calls for drastic solution. Some people believe that death penalty is a very suitable option for combating corruption, which negatively affects the public and private facets of life in the country."

Recently, a wave of protests against corruption scandals has reached even the National Assembly. A group of dissatisfied people stormed the building, demanding the death penalty as punishment for dishonest officials. Protesters stressed that Nigeria would not make progress if corruption in public office is not brought under control.

Some Nigerians believe that only death penalty can help the government to win a war against the cancer of corruption.

planned corruption, deliberate milking of nation states for taxpayer money, anything that takes unfair advantage of the people's generosity in allowing their chartering, should be punished by cashing out of the corporation and massive losses to those responsible.

Perhaps this "death penalty" should primarily be FOR corporations.

I would certainly agree with you that there should be a "death penalty" for corporations.

But there are people behind these corporations and if the figurative corporate death penalty doesn't put an end to corporate corruption perhaps its time to follow Nigeria's lead and explore a literal death penalty for those who are behind the corruption.

The death penalty is misused in America. We use it too much and we use it on the wrong people.
