Today, Clinton will be at an early voting event in Iowa, while Anne Holton campaigns in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

What I Learned From being a Mom Who Works:

When I was pregnant with my daughter Chelsea, I asked about the maternity leave policy at the law firm where I worked. I was surprised to find out that we didn’t have one. I soon learned why: No woman who worked in our office had ever come back to work full-time after having a baby. Well, I wanted to come back. I loved what I did. And it was important to me to contribute to my family’s finances, especially now that we were having a baby.
We still have a long way to go. Our policies just haven’t kept up with the challenges women and families face today.
In April, I met a mom in Newton, Iowa, who held her four-and-a-half-month-old in her arms. She said to me, “I’m counting on you to know what it’s like to be a working mother. Please help us working mothers and fathers have more time with our babies.”
I’m not going to let her down.
Let’s finally join every other advanced economy in the world and guarantee paid leave. I’m proposing 12 weeks of paid medical leave to recover from a serious illness, and 12 weeks of paid family leave to care for a new child or a sick relative. After all, moms and dads both deserve to spend time with their babies.
Let’s encourage employers to adopt family-friendly work policies, like flexible and fair scheduling and tele-work, so parents can both work and be there for their families.
Let’s raise the minimum wage. No one who works full-time should be forced to raise their kids in poverty.

Yesterday, Clinton and a number of her best surrogates campaigned across the country. First, President Obama laid out a strong case for Clinton in a Wednesday morning appearance on the Steve Harvey show.

Kurtis Lee reports at the LA Times:
"If you don’t vote, that’s a vote for Trump,” said Obama, who has become Hillary Clinton's chief surrogate in appealing to African American voters.
“If you vote for a third-party candidate who’s got no chance to win, that’s a vote for Trump. So the notion somehow that, ‘Well, you know, I’m not as inspired because Barack and Michelle, they’re not on the ballot this time, and, you know, maybe we kind of take it easy’ — my legacy’s on the ballot. You know, all the work we’ve done over the last eight years is on the ballot.”

1. Its amazing what trump gets away with

Trump has been lying his ass off during & after the debate with Hillary using phony polls
saying he was the clear winner. My god what if Hillary did this? Or said any of the horrible
things he has said. The media on both the left and right would be telling her to get out
of the race. But again the dirt bag Trump gets a pass. Its just unreal that a large majority
in the media really does not seem to care if Trump wins this election. I really don't know
how these people sleep at night knowing they are helping someone like Trump become
president by not calling him out. I am talking about the daily tv reporters & pundits who
keep playing this sick game of pretending their is very little difference between Trump
and Hillary because of their high negatives. Its just freaking insane And you can pretty
much blame Hillary's negatives on the media who have been pretty much calling her
a liar since she announced running for president. She has been treated so unfairly.
And not a single so called lie is provable by intent. But apparently that doesn't matter
to Anderson cooper. Jack tapper. And many others who have repeatedly called her
a liar on national tv. And these assholes now have the gall to criticise Hillary for
having lower trust & honesty poll numbers? Go on youtube and look how many times
this woman has been called a liar. And their is not even a hint of intent on Hillary's
part. Hillary & Bill would destroy these people in court if they ever decided to sue some of these dirt bags. Its amazing they have never sued anyone in the media.
