As Congress touts spending deal, Trump calls for shutdown

Lawmakers in both parties celebrated reaching a spending deal that would avoid a government shutdown this week, but President Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to argue that the country "needs a good shutdown" to fix Senate rules that require him to negotiate with Democrats.


Trump says in a tweet that the rules need to be changed to 51% majority vote instead of 60%, that way Republicans will not have to depend on Democrats to get things done. He's mad because the money he wanted for "the wall" was not included in the budget.

I don't know how much more of this man his non-supporters (of which I am one) can take. He has got to be the most ignorant man to ever "serve" as president. He doesn't even know basic American history. He is the biggest liar I've ever seen. At the last rally, he touted all the things he'd accomplished in his first 100 days. All a lie and they ate it up! They KNEW he was lying but kept feeding the beast with applause and adulation anyway.

I pray he doesn't bring this country to ruin in his quest to obliterate the legacy of the Obamas and to further his own personal agenda. Why can't the Deplorables see what we can see so plainly? He doesn't care about us - America. It's his fragile ego that's controlling him. It's all about him and what he wants, not what America needs. Why can't people see this? I just don't understand. Can somebody please help me to understand what they love about this creature.

An exhortation to shut down the government so that he can effect unconstitutional changes in the legislative branch is not the action of someone who cares about this country or understands its bedrock constitutional foundations.

As the Democrats reply in that article, there is no such thing as a "good" shutdown.

I also pray that he does not bring this country to ruin in his destructive quest to obliterate the Obama legacy and to enrich himself. But it sure likes that's exactly what he's determined to do.
I also cannot understand how anyone can "love" or support this creature in any way.
