When McCain put his thumb down, he said it was about “regular order.” Weeks later, it looks like the Momentary Maverick may throw away his principles to help his senate BFF.

Gulp. That’s what every liberal on Twitter did Monday morning at 11:50 a.m. when Benjy Sarlin, who covers the Hill for NBC, tweeted:

And then, another gulp about two hours later, when the very man McCain cited in his tweet, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, issued one of his own:

................................................

McCain doesn’t need the CBO to know what this bill portends for his state of Arizona, and neither does Governor Ducey. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) ran the numbers on Graham-Cassidy and found that Arizona will lose $1.6 billion in Medicaid funding through 2026. That will make the Grand Canyon State one of the bigger losers in this deal. Fourteenth biggest, by my count. That’s something the governor and senior senator want to be party to?

After being caught a bit unawares by all this last week, it now looks as though the progressive side has woken up and is trying to rally the troops. A vote has to happen under the rules by September 30. It’s going to take another enormous effort, like the one from the summer that led to McCain and Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voting no, to take down Graham’s bill...................................

In July I was told, even though I didn't need to be, to stay vigilant since the GOP is NOT going to give up without a fight, especially McConnell. Remember the hold out for the Gorsuch vote?! I do not trust any of the evil, sick fucker (I was raised by a long line of democratics).

I AM SICK! I had to stop teaching in CA before I was able to get retirement or benefits. I have spent most of my savings (teachers make peanuts as you well know) on health insur and prescription meds. I need surgeries for the rest of my short life to help eliminate the severe pain that goes with my disease. My 500 sq foot apt will be gone soon. My disability is not enough since even with the ACA I have to currently use over 30% of it on my health. I live and have lived like a pauper. I have not eaten out or been to a movie without a gift card in over two years. Also, I cut my own hair, have not bought any new clothes in 3 years, etc.

The GOP is more than happy to deplete my 83 year old parents' savings to pay for my health care! They are stressed over this as well. Mental stress adds to physical problems...domino effect. I hope McCain, McConnell and pals rot in hell. I wish I could live long enough to watch these sociopaths suffer like 2e million others are and will as a result of their sick and greedy actions.
