(10,943 posts)... I said that. It was not a quote from Hillary. It was just me, no "quotes". She is not running. She is honestly not running, presently. Circumstances change... despite the relentless negative media, she is an extremely popular public figure. She may have a change of heart. I'm not expecting her to, but you never know... the political landscape changes dramatically from month to month, day to day, hour to hour... 2020 is not predictable, presently.

"Third time's the charm" just isn't a thing in Presidential politics.

(18,740 posts)...fake hearings and more false accusations.
I am actually hearing more and more ppl wanting HRC to run...from 70 old stoners to 21 yr olds college students. From ppl I normally thought would be backing the other dem candidates...but NOPE they want Hillary! She wont run I am sure of that, but MY times are a changing!
I'm hearing it everywhere

(47,209 posts)the true level of support he has. There are obvs still a lot of trolls out there promoting a divide. Overall that's not a good thing.

(7,822 posts)Honestly dont really want to see either one as the nominee in 2020, and I think probably better for the party if they dont run

(28,394 posts)People still hang their hopes on her, I guess.
IMO, it is time to move ahead and focus on the next generation of democratic leaders.

(15,511 posts)Obama didn't have that problem. She did in 2008, and she still did in 2016.
Republicans were mortified by Trump and his disapproval ratings too, but it worked out for them in the last election because many people dislike the Clintons. That's the unfortunate reality and Democrats shouldn't stick their heads in the sand about it.

(13,218 posts)A lot of people were getting burnt by the Hitler comparisons, so it's made up to avoid that. I.e. the comparisons stung.

(17,535 posts)no. Its time to move on to somebody else, preferably younger. I voted for her, but we need some younger, more progressive candidates.

(31 posts)and I want a younger candidate for president. Hell, I want younger candidates for every office. I just don't trust the "polished, experienced" politicians. If you want to get the 18-49 crowd to go for the Democratic candidate, give them a candidate that they can relate to. There's no way they will relate to (or trust) a Geritol for lunch candidate. And if you know what Geritol is, you know exactly what I mean. It's time for the younger candidates to start doing the heavy lifting. If we can get the banksters' money out of the party, we'll start getting candidates from the working class of our country instead of lawyers. There's a lack of trust there. You want the working-class vote, get some working-class candidates for congress. The younger the better. Electricians, scientists, laborers, IT specialists, etc. Candidates who don't know what's not possible. Just my two-cents worth.

(7,822 posts)No Hillary. No Bernie. No Biden. Someone younger without the baggage, please. Personally I like Kamala Harris, but really I would just like to see some fresh blood.

(155 posts)If we can do the Women's March we can have her as President.
Our democracy is breaking. We are flawed as a democracy. The way to shore it up and fix this mess is to push for her to run. We need experience right now more than ever. She can run. She should. We should help her.

(17,201 posts)I don't see it happening. Don't think she'd stand a chance in the primary -- unless it actually was rigged.
