That is how those of us with REAL service animals feel.

(66,308 posts)5. I used to be a pushover for patients who wanted an approved emotional support animal.
That's before I realized what a scam it is, and how it makes things difficult for patients with legitimate needs.
Now I refer everyone wanting a letter of approval for their teacup pooch to mental and behavioral health for a diagnosis, standard-of-care treatment, and a letter if the provider agrees.

H e jumps in my lap when I get my hair shampooed. Such a soft little ball of fur. It's nice. And it's relaxing...
