Trump is showing signs he will pardon several servicemen accused of war crimes.

Trump is grotesque but the ugliest part here is how popular this will be. Our support for laws of war has always been tenuous and brutality against enemies will always rouse cheers. Just ask Lt. Calley.

It's an obvious desperate attempt to boost his ratings.

They'll love this shit---particularly if the victims are brown-skinned.

Pardoning men that stained their uniform and violated the oath they took is not surprising coming from a man that used a fake diagnosis to avoid military service.
Trump’s pardon of war criminals sends the message that one can violate international law and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) with the expectation of a pardon from their Commander-in-Chief.
Trump will describe these men as heroes, but the real heroes are their comrades that didn’t murder civilians and testified against them.

That since we forgive war crimes it’s ok for them to commit war crimes.

It’s very true what you said. How we treat prisoners has consequences. Mistreatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib gave rise to ISIS.
