(98,883 posts)demonstrated that well with their abundance of anti-Hillary articles during the general election
The author of this piece is Andrew O'Hehir, with such things as this:

It is the typical let's divide the Democrats bullshit that Salon is so well known for

(5,811 posts)That made me laugh. seriously we all need to laugh. We need the senate to pass all 275 House bills, investigate and remove federal judges who obtained their lifetime appointments through fraud. We need the senate to remove Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Thomas. We need the Senate to take back the Congress' war powers. We need the senate overturn Citizen's United. Reinstate the Independent Counsel statute and develop DOJ policy to indicate a president can be criminally indicted. That's just ones off the top of my head.

(18,769 posts)Biden was not squeaky clean WTF does that even mean? Its clear the writer doesnt like Pelosi and would have preferred a younger speaker. What could possibly have gone wrong with that plan.

(34,407 posts)match your own? Do you think it's a waste of time, for the Democrats to use the only tool available to them? Should they just shut-up and go away? Impeachment isn't going to do a damn thing, and no one is expecting it to. Impeachment offers the American people to see a tiny glimpse of what the Republican Party, and this President have done. There will still be hearings, there's far too much to investigate. Hopefully, those investigations will lead to criminal charges at some future date

(7,288 posts)in which he complains that the Democratic leadership is dragging its feet on impeachment, specifically related to the Ukraine matter:
https://www.salon.com/2019/09/22/doomed-delusional-divided-and-corrupt-how-the-democratic-party-became-a-haunted-house/
That particular failing was thrown into strong relief this week after reports that President Trump tried to arm-twist the president of Ukraine into digging up (or perhaps inventing) damaging information on Joe Biden, approximately the 10th scandal of Trumps presidency that would have ended the career of any normative, old-school politician. Even mainstream congressional Democrats and sympathetic media commentators have begun complaining openly about the leaderships inaction but there is no serious indication anything will change. With the Iowa caucuses now 16 weeks away, Nancy Pelosi has pretty well accomplished her goal of running out the clock on impeachment.
BTW, he's quite an ineloquent writer, elevated quite unremarkably to executive editor of Salon. which means, of course, that he really, really hates Democrats. Except, of course, for the Democrat-of-convenience:
Yechhh.
FTR, I didn't read all of the article cited in the OP, nor the one I've just cited. I don't think it's actually possible. This fetid, sophomoric neo-journalism is boring as shit.
