THE COMMON GOOD With Robert Reich: Weekly Episode

Feb. 6, 2020. No. 2. In this episode of The Common Good with Robert Reich, Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich discusses Trump’s shameful acquittal and Mitt Romney’s surprising vote. He then talks with Katie Milne from the Inequality Media team about the GOP’s cover-up, the Iowa caucus app glitch, Joe Biden’s “gut punch,” Mayor Pete and Bernie Sanders’ success, and the blatant lies Trump spewed at his State of the Union address.

- Inequality Media with Robert Reich is a digital media organization aimed at debunking right-wing lies, educating the public about inequality and imbalance of power, and breaking down solutions to the economic and structural issues plaguing our country. We provide a platform for you to learn, share your ideas, and, hopefully, mobilize your communities to make change for the common good.

Such a striking counterpoint to the growing madness.

I appreciate Reich making these though I wonder if his audience might want more of an in-depth perspective. It seems it’s an overview of events and I’d think his audience would be folks who are already following the news and are looking for his deeper insights. Spoken from this audience of one

are excellent and posted here fairly often. I tend to prefer broader and as you say deeper 'big picture' discussions over coverage of news that is focused on daily events and incidents. There's a ton of the latter and many who like the format.

Both are essential to learning what's going on with current affairs in this crazy country.

This video episode is the second in his new show 'The Common Good' in which Reich seems to explore using a chatty, 'talk show' style of commentary with guests to cover recent happenings. In time, and with the assistance of a good staff I think he'll work out the focus and what's popular for the new show.

I don’t think I’ll watch another for the reason I mentioned.

I love the guy, though, always have.
