Maureen Dowd eviscerates Kushner

He Went to Jared Heaven help us, we’re at the mercy of the Slim Suit crowd

My friend sent me this by email. Dowd lambastes GW Bush, Trump and Kushner on their crisis management skills. If you haven't read it go find it. I am not sure I can access the NYTimes due to the firewall.

<snip>
At the Thursday briefing, the president brought out another wealthy, uninformed man-child who loves to play boss: Jared Kushner. Where’s our Mideast peace deal, dude? Surely Trump did not think giving Kushner a lead role would inspire confidence. This is the very same adviser who told his father-in-law early on that the virus was being overplayed by the press and also urged him to tout a Google website guiding people to testing sites that turned out to be, um, still under construction.

Now he is leading a group, mocked within the government as “the Slim Suit crowd,” that is providing one more layer of confusion — and inane consultant argot — to the laggardly, disorganized response.

From the lectern, Kushner drilled down on his role as the annoying, spoiled kid in every teen movie ever made. “And the notion of the federal stockpile was, it’s supposed to be our stockpile,” he said. “It’s not supposed to be the states’ stockpiles that they then use.”

Our stockpile?

That’s the way the Trump-Kushner dynasty has approached this whole presidency, conflating what belongs to the people with what is theirs. Trump acts like he has the right to dole out “favors,” based on which governor is most assiduous about kissing up to him.

Or parenting. (her nannies know her kids better than she does). By the way, Ivanka, IF we "overcome" this, it will be NO THANKS to your daddy, your husband or anyone else in the WH. This Easter, many families are unable to touch their loved ones, or even visit them. Maybe if we were all as EVIL as your clan, we would avoid any virus that infects NORMAL people? Go shopping for more trademarks from overseas, make your precious time count. As a heads up, the more money you make, the more the courts will take once the investigations are over of your criminal family.

He was only recreated after his death by some well-meaning but totally ignorant pagans "converts" and associated with some ridiculous pagan fair tales. I have the greatest respect for his teaching and his rejection of the attempt to drown Judaism is overt legality.

I attend church for two reasons - to sing in our fabulous choir, and to learn about Jesus's teachings. I belong to a very liberal Episcopal church and it's wonderful!

However, some say that by today' standards for a Rabbi he would not qualify today. That is unimportant since he was by those standards at his time and he was called and recognized as such. He was far above the average in his knowledge of scripture and as with those with whom I have discussed it, we have nothing but admiration for his teaching. It can only be surmised that he had studied with under noted scripture scholars. The teaching and criticisms that he put forth are without doubt of any question.

There you are having a massive, national crises and a narrow turd suddenly floats to the top of the dynasty septic tank to save the day? How comforting to see ineptitude and nepotism in their most vainglorious light, shining like a gold toilet.

I don't care how much gold is it is made of, we, as a nation, are getting dumped in the dictator's crapper and Kushner is a sign. He is just going to flush us down ten or fifteen times, (as was prophesied) under a low-wattage incandescent light bulb.

You have to admit that Trump is good at picking people who sourly despise what they are supposed to be overseeing, or out to destroy it. That's consistent and Ben Carson could tell you that if he was not still recovering from his auto-lobotomy.

That's the way he has run his entire life, not just his so called presidency. He has been playing with his fictitious Billions, and now he is taking great joy in moving up to playing with the Trillions........And once again, it is not his money. At least yet, until Jared and Trailer Trash Barbie get done and have grifted a ton of it over to the Trump Empire......

This, as I recall, was the most important issue in her tiny mind in 2000.

She, as much as anyone, by confusing her cynicism and childish fashion based wit with intellect, is responsible for the power of these people.
