Coronavirus: Congressman wants Zoom meetings banned after being ‘Zoom-bombed’ multiple times
Jim Jordan claims meeting on women's rights in Afghanistan was repeatedly interrupted, but Democrats deny disruptions

Ohio congressman Jim Jordan has called for an end to Zoom video conference meetings citing potential security concerns.

The House Oversight and Reform Committee, of which Mr Jordan is the top Republican member, has been conducting business using the remote meeting software to comply with social distancing rules to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

In a letter to the committee chairwoman, New York representative Carolyn Maloney, Mr Jordan said that Zoom did not appear to meet required security standards and has concerns about China’s involvement with the company.

He claimed that a recent briefing on women's rights in Afghanistan was repeatedly “Zoom-bombed,” a term for when uninvited individuals disrupt meetings.

1. I am confused. Wouldn't these committee hearings be open to the public if it weren't for COVID?

If so, what are the security standards he's talking about?

I do not think this wretch's name should ever be brought up without taking note of that most salient fact of his existence. One suspects the chief difference between him and the doctor whose predations he facilitated is that the doctor in question had the nerve to act on his imaginings, whereas Jordan is a cowardly failure even as a pervert.

And yes, Ma'am, this is an ad hominem that has not the least bearing on his complaint or advice regarding some video conferencing platform....

9. Good point. Those who care about such trivial details as honesty have learned he's a total sham.

It appears he believes he can push people to forget his deficit if he shouts enough, shrieks enough accusations, doesn't forget to sneer, and rolls his sleeves up to show he means business.

6. Why not set up secure tele-conferencing like you see in the movies?

If security is an issue of course. If security is a problem then I do agree with pedo Gym, Zoom is NOT the answer!!! If public access is an issue, then there has to be a way to have secure public assess without disruption features. This is the 21st Century and all!!

I have seen survey information suggesting that the 'redder' the state, not only the greater is its inhabitant's consumption of pornography, but the more that outre letches figure as a portion of their total consumption of pornography.

If I were being fair-minded, I might suggest this is because open expression of alternate sexualities is more restricted in such states, but I am not feeling particularly fair-minded at the moment, and so will happily assert this proves the fine upstanding pillars of morality and rectitude in 'real America' are to a man double-dyed and double-damned hypocritical perverts.
