Democratic Establishment Rallies To Rescue An Embattled Eliot Engel
https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2020/06/15/democratic-establishment-rallies-to-rescue-an-embattled-eliot-engel/#4bf767396b48What is interesting is the following paragraph:
"The latest blow came on Monday, when The Intercepts Ryan Grim and Akela Lacy reported that a Republican super PAC was diverting money through a Democratic pro-Israel PAC into the heavily Democratic district to assist Engel."
It seems the other contention against him, other than the local politics, is his hawkishness on Foreign policy, I read in another article that he OPPOSED the Obama/Iran deal.

Is The Intercept a reliable source?

(272 posts)I did not even voice an opinion, I just presented a point of view. Yes I am on the progressive side of the party, and yes this congressman might be problematic, does that mean it is ok to threaten me ? You know what, whatever.
Just knowing he opposed the Obama/Iran deal tells me lots what side he is on. We DO NOT need to get into another war, that would be disastrous.

(272 posts)Very telling. It is in the hands of the people of that district now, let us hope they make a decision that reduces the chances of a future war with Iran rather than increase it.
