If Trump loses in November, watch what he does, not what he says

Chris Wallace of Fox News is getting justifiably positive reviews for his persistent questioning of President Trump in a long interview that aired on Sunday. But I wish he had pressed further in one exchange.

Wallace asked Trump if he would accept the outcome of the November election — by implication, asking the president if he would accept losing. Twice Trump refused to make such a commitment. He trotted out his discredited theory that expanded voting by mail would “rig the election.”

This is déjà vu all over again. As Wallace noted, at a 2016 debate Trump had likewise hedged, saying: “I'll keep you in suspense” about whether he would follow the tradition of conceding if he lost.

I wish Wallace hadn't focused on whether Trump would “accept the results of the election.” Of course he won’t if he follows his usual playbook. (Remember, he pushed a bogus theory of voter fraud in the 2016 election, even though he won in the electoral college.)

By asking him this question, aren't they giving him their approval that he SHOULD do that?

You shouldn't ask "will you accept defeat?"

You should state clearly "you will usher in a peaceful transfer of power - as it happened for you".

Am I wrong here?

I'm more concerned about what he does during the 3 months after he loses the election
How will he monetize his final few months

I would expect alot of the GOP will be cooking up "last minute" actions for him to take. Not to mention McConnell packing the courts as full as he can.

If he loses, it is not a loss but the result of a conspiracy. He is that paranoid.

2. playing coy is his way to stir up sh*t and that feeds his pathology.

In spite of how unlikely it is he will succeed, that son of a b*tch is going to try.

Since he is merely acting as a POTUS, and poorly at that, why would we expect anything else but a staged theatrical tease. Remember "Who shot JR?". I doubt tRump will be able to spin whatever happens in the election as a "dream" that never really happened.

Has Chris Wallace somehow not noticed the way Trump has spoken over the last 5 years? Did he really think that Trump might answer that of course he would respect the outcome of the election and move on? I see other interviewers doing this and it is annoying.

These Paramilitary thugs being "deployed" to other major cities. He said in that Rose Garden rant that big things are going to happen in the next 8 weeks. IF he loses in November (I won't Jinx it by saying it the other way.) He will be some scary crap.
