... and, obviously, being adopted by an entire functional culture is hardly "making it on your own."

Making it on your own means that you develop your own language, and thought process, without parents. You discover minerals, and mining, and develop technology. At some point, you join the Western world as an equal, having duplicated all their accomplishments.

Is EVERY myth based in a profoundly stupid lie, or just Republican myths?
