Traci Armstrong, 43, keeps inventory in a Montevallo warehouse. It’s been over two months since she contracted COVID-19 at work, but she still sometimes feels like she’s getting sick all over again with a cough, fever and sudden fatigue.
“I have to stop what I’m doing and kind of bend over and try to get my composure together so I won’t pass out,” she said.
Armstrong is not sure what’s happening to her. She loses her train of thought often and suffers from almost daily headaches. She stopped operating heavy machinery at work as a precaution. She suddenly hates the taste of coffee, which she lived on before, and can no longer smell certain things, like baby powder.

They report hair loss, fatigue, exhaustion and brain fog, among a range of sometimes debilitating ailments, months after testing negative for the disease, studies show.
