Scott Brown says daughter insured under health law - Boston.com

Senator Scott Brown, who won office vowing to be the 41st vote to block President Obama’s health care law and who has since voted three times to repeal it, acknowledged Monday that he takes advantage of it to keep his elder daughter on his congressional health insurance plan.
“Of course I do,’’ the Massachusetts Republican told the Globe.
Brown is insuring his daughter Ayla, a professional singer who is 23 years old, under a widely popular provision of the law requiring that family plans cover children up to age 26.

1. I guess his congressional health insurance costs less to cover his daughter

(while we tax payers pay for it) than it costs me. My insurance corporation told me I could put my two perfectly healthy 20 something children on my plan for $24,000 a year.

Gee, I wish I could live off the teat of government.

That's a Republican for you. Always getting in line to take advantage of a benefit while giving a speech the whole time about why other people shouldn't be eligible.

8. But he's white and Republican, so of course he should take advantage of it.

If the law only applied to white Republican's then it would be a fine upstanding all-American law. The problem is that it also applies to those other people.
